You Too Can Tango!

by rjohnson at 6:01 pm

The Joyce invites Tango Inferno audience members to share the stage with the professionals for a sizzling pre-show Milonga, one half hour before the house opens. For the small price of a ticket, you get to put on your sexiest dancin’ shoes (no stilettos, please), and turn up the heat with Tango Inferno!

Don’t know your Argentine Tango from your American Tango? Can’t tell your barrida from your boleo? No problem!

Take a look at this video series on ehow.com. It takes you through all the Tango basics, starting with a history of the form (did you know the Tango used to be danced by all men?) and working up to how to build your own phrases and embellishments. You’ll be dancing like a real tanguero in no time!
