“Soaking my feet last night did me justice - they were a bit beat up after day 1 and 2! We just finished warm up in the studio of the Joyce and about to quickly beautify myself for the press photos this afternoon! Psyched to perform tonight - have some dear friends coming who have never seen me dance!”

David Parons on Run to You

by rjohnson at 12:27 pm

For its 2011 New York season, Parsons Dance will bring three new works to The Joyce stage: Love, oh love, by guest choreographer Monica Bill Barnes, and David Parsons’ Portinari and Run to You.

“Mr. Parsons has described Run to you as “a reflection on the human traits of positivity and negativity.” And the four parts of the work suggest emotions ranging from love to aggression, as well as sheer exuberance. “You have to get into the vibe. That’s a word we used a lot,” said Mr. Parsons after a recent rehearsal.” Continue reading the full article here.
