Ready? Set? Ok Go!

Pilobolus’ 40th anniversary season includes a rhythmically-propelled work created in collaboration with OK Go. The band rose to fame when its extraordinary treadmill-hopping music video for Here It Goes Again went viral and subsequently won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and the 2006 YouTube awards for Most Creative Video.

Ok Go went on to create other wildly popular music videos, including the video and live performance co-production the band created in collaboration with Pilobolus that we know is going to be a hit and the Rube Goldberg-inspired music video for This Too Shall Pass drew over 25 million views on YouTube and is the one that’s inspired this blog post.

Rube Goldberg machines are over-engineered machines that perform a simple task in a complex way; Inefficiency at it’s greatest and most creative! Take a look.

Purchase your tickets to Pilobolus (at The Joyce July 11 though August 6) here. Premium seating is available for the July 25 and 27 performances featuring OK Go dancing with Pilobolus. Limited availability.
