Individual Giving Manager
A newly created position, the Individual Giving Manager supports the development department’s efforts as it seeks to grow its individual giving donor base. Over the past decade, the Joyce has greatly increased its contributed income, thanks to an emphasis on giving from high net worth individuals. The Joyce is now anticipating a period of programmatic expansion, which will require continued investment to broaden and deepen its base of individual support. Working closely with the Assistant Director of Individual Giving, the Individual Giving Manager will oversee a portfolio of donors who have the capacity to give in the $500 to $1,500 range. The position will also help to organize a menu of funding opportunities, allowing donors the opportunity to make significant investments in The Joyce and its future growth.

Technical Director – Stage Operations
The Technical Director is one member of a three-person production management staff that oversees all stage operations at The Joyce Theater. In conjunction with the Director of Production and the Lighting Supervisor, the Technical Director – Stage Operations is tasked with making sure that all stage needs of any production at The Joyce Theater are fully satisfied. This person works closely with the Director of Production in order to schedule all crew calls, makes decisions regarding the adaptation of a company’s production, and ensures The Joyce equipment is maintained in good working condition at all times. Supervision of the Joyce Theater stagehands (IATSE-Local One) is a large part of this position.

The Joyce Theater Foundation actively seeks highly motivated high school and college students interested in learning the about the behind-the-scene operations of one of the only theaters built by dancers for dance. The Joyce’s invaluable commitment to artists and audiences extends to cultivating the next generation of arts administrators, marketers, managers, and educators in the field. The programming department of The Joyce Theater seeks an intern for 20-40 hours/week during the fall semester. Candidates should be current undergraduate/graduate students interested in performing arts administration. The intern will assist members of the department with various tasks including preparations for our annual gala, research projects, producing and special event initiatives, artist services, database maintenance, preparation for current and future seasons, and more.
