Brazil Festival: Mimulus Companhia de Dança

“The dancing is superb…the dynamite performers are as charismatic as they are technically facile, exuding personality with every sensual shimmy,” says The New York Times about Mimulus Companhia de Dança.  For the Brazilian Festival, the company takes the Joyce stage with Dolores, a vibrant evening-length piece inspired by the characters in the movies of the great Pedro Almodóvar.  Set mostly to ballads about love and loss, Dolores is a hot and heady exploration of the emotion involved in trying to navigate “the tricky terrain between raw desire and true intimacy.” The New York Times
