Through a new partnership with Gibney, The Joyce Theater Foundation opened its Artist Residency Center (Studio W) at 280 Broadway, making it the exclusive home for The Joyce’s rehearsal space and artist residency programs.
The Joyce studio at Gibney includes a flexible collection of residency packages, and new artist services such as fellowship opportunities and highly subsidized rehearsal space for select choreographers and dance companies. The 42 x 31 studio is also designed as an ideal space for rehearsals, showings, and events.
As part of this partnership, The Joyce is pleased to offer $10/hour subsidized rehearsal space to all non-profit dance artists. A total of 1,000 hours with a 100 hour limit per artist/company is being offered each calendar year. You can book space at the $10/hour subsidized rate by visiting https://gibneydance.org/rentals/ and filling out a Non-Profit Dance Rehearsal Request Form for studio time at Studio W.
Through this pivotal partnership, The Joyce continues to fulfill its mission-based promise of serving and supporting the dance community.
