April 5—10 The Joyce in Chelsea
Anticipating their return to the stage, Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamenca have spent the time away in the studio, discovering fresh techniques and subject matter to create new work for the new year. Drawing from New York’s cultural landscape, Artistic Director Martín Santangelo and principal dancer and choreographer Soledad Barrio have shaped this program to celebrate life together again, as the dance world resumes its place before audiences. Joined by the masterful artistry of its company members, Noche Flamenca brings the heart of flamenco back into the spotlight! Recognized by The New York Times as “one of today’s great dancers of any genre,” Soledad Barrio leads a cast of the artform’s greatest performers to the Joyce stage for a night of pure grandeur.
