Carly Greene
Company Artist, Dance Theatre of Harlem
Carly is in her fourth season as a Company Artist with Dance Theatre of Harlem. Born in Flower Mound, Texas, Carly began her early training at The Ballet Conservatory in Lewisville, Texas, and trained with the LakeCities Ballet Theatre pre-professional studio company. Her summer training includes Houston Ballet, the School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and the Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ballet Ensemble. Carly is a two-time Youth America Grand Prix New York Semi-Finalist and a recipient of the Dance Council of North Texas Scholarship and the Alvin Ailey Artistic Scholarship.
Carly attended Fordham University, where she trained in the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University BFA Dance Program, graduating magna cum laude with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Digital Technology and Emerging Media.
Her repertory with Dance Theatre of Harlem includes George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations*, Allegro Brillante, and Pas de Dix; Robert Garland’s New Bach*, Return, The Cookout, Higher Ground, Tumbao, Hailstork, and Nyman String Quartet No. II; William Forsythe’s Blake Works IV (The Barre Project); John Taras’s The Firebird. Carly has also performed works by Alvin Ailey, Geoffrey Holder, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Silas Farley, and Jennifer Archibald.
