Delaney Washington
Company Artist, Dance Theatre of Harlem
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Delaney Washington began her dance training at a local studio before graduating with honors from Fordham University/The Ailey School, where she earned a double major in Dance and Economics.
Ms. Washington is currently in her sixth season as a Company Artist with Dance Theatre of Harlem. She has performed principal and featured roles in works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Robert Garland, Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa, Robert Bondara, Arthur Mitchell, and other acclaimed choreographers. With Dance Theatre of Harlem, she has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center, and has toured internationally throughout Mexico, Canada, France, and Colombia.
In addition to her work on the concert stage, Ms. Washington was featured in the music video “Witchy” by Kaytranada featuring Childish Gambino. She also appeared as a principal dancer in the Amazon Prime series Étoile under the choreography of Marguerite Derricks.
