Gregg and Jean Frankel are dedicated supporters of the arts, devoted community leaders, and enthusiastic participants in The Joyce Theater’s Travel Program.
Jean currently serves as a Councilwoman in Tewksbury Township, New Jersey, where she previously served as Mayor in 2023. She is Secretary of the Board of Young Audiences of New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania and remains actively engaged with the Tewksbury Education Foundation and the Tewksbury Woman’s Club. A lifelong champion of the arts, Jean holds a master’s degree in dance from the University of California, Los Angeles. She spent formative years from 1984-1988 working with Twyla Tharp’s dance company and now brings that enduring passion to her pursuit of competitive ballroom dance.
Gregg is deeply committed to environmental stewardship and civic engagement, having served on the board of Freedom House and as Vice President of the Tewksbury Land Trust. Professionally, he spent nearly three decades working in the financial industry as a sales trader specializing in equities and high-yield securities at Jefferies & Co. and Monness, Crespi, Hardt & Co. An avid hiker, fisherman, and dance enthusiast, Gregg shares Jean’s curiosity, energy, and love of cultural exploration.
Together, Gregg and Jean exemplify a shared commitment to the arts, philanthropy, and community engagement. Through The Joyce Theater’s Travel Program, they have journeyed to Cuba, Russia, Thailand, and Colombia, forging meaningful connections and celebrating dance as a universal language. They cherish these experiences alongside meaningful time spent with their daughters Chelsea and Tara and son-in-law Jared.
