Calling all pre-professional dancers. Now is your chance to take class with Trinette Singleton, a dancer with direct lineage to Robert Joffrey! The class will follow the principles taught by Robert Joffrey with emphasis on correct body placement and musicality. Following her performance years, Trinette served as an administrative assistant to Robert Joffrey and later as ballet mistress for The Joffrey Ballet. Did you know Trinette Singleton was the first American dancer to appear on the cover of Time magazine? Cool!

This 1-hour movement class and 30-minute presentation with Nicole Duffy demystifies the ballet art form and is open to all ages. Ever wonder what pointe shoes feel like? Or just how heavy is a ballet costume? Join the discussion about the Joffrey/Arpino legacy and contributions to dance in America. As a repetiteur for the Foundation, she teaches the ballets Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino, most recently staging works for ABT Studio Company and Ballet Hispánico and will answer questions about a career in dance.
