Black Grace

Black Grace brings its distinct “exhilarating, seemingly inexhaustible energy” (The New York Times) back to The Joyce for a third season. Artistic Director Neil Ieremia (ONZM), who “has spread his artistic roots in several rich pasts and grown up and out into a sunlight of his own making” (The New York Times), draws from his Samoan and New Zealand roots to create a body of groundbreaking dance works that reach across social, cultural, and generational barriers. This year, leremia curates a mixed repertoire program performed by some of New Zealand’s finest artists.
