Opening the program, Cerrudo’s Dos y Dos y Dos sets the stage with a sophisticated vision—a striking series of duets that draw viewers into a world of connection, responsiveness, and shared creation. Crystal Pite’s acclaimed Solo Echo follows, invoking feelings of winter against a backdrop of steadily whirling snowflakes where music and movement deliver clarity and emotional resonance. The evening culminates with As I Am by Charlotte Ballet’s Resident Choreographer Mthuthuzeli November, a powerful work blending ballet, contemporary, and African storytelling. Together, these works form a dynamic and carefully shaped choreographic arc, reflecting Charlotte Ballet’s distinctive ability to balance intimacy, intensity, and innovation.
