Rooted in the exploration of physical memory, choreographer Noé Soulier’s work connects audiences to their imaginations, inviting them to view abstract objects or events as more than their original form. The Waves brings together six exceptional dancers and two master percussionists for two days only. A mesmerizing choreographic and musical composition centered on momentum, phrasing, and rhythm, Soulier creates an evocative, multisensory world. The expressiveness of gesture and sound reinforce each other to create a corporeal experience that echoes Virginia Woolf’s visceral writing.
