Pam Tanowitz Dance
Live Performance: Saturday, December 12 at 5pm ET
On-Demand streaming available until Saturday, December 26 at 11:59pm ET
Pam Tanowitz Dance returns to The Joyce Theater with a livestream performance event featuring "Gustave Le Gray, No. 2" with music by Caroline Shaw, and a new site-specific work “Finally Unfinished: Part 1” with music by Ted Hearne.
This new work, created in collaboration with her dancers while in quarantine via Zoom, is the second iteration of Tanowitz’s site-specific dances and will take place throughout the empty Joyce Theater. Tanowitz then invites audience members to engage further with an interactive companion piece created in collaboration with director Jeremy Jacob. This interactive website, specially crafted for audience members, acts as a curio cabinet that weaves and juxtaposes images, writings, videos, and other inspirations from Tanowitz's creative process.
