Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, a thrilling company featuring classically trained dancers performing contemporary ballet choreography, returns to The Joyce stage with Swedish choreographer Pontus Lidberg’s abstract take on Johann Sebastian Bach's Saint Matthew Passion. Originally written as a devotional retelling of the agony and death of Christ, Lidberg’s Une Autre Passion juxtaposes suffering with beauty.
